This is likely a driver issue. During the creation of the Win PE there's an option to add drivers. At this point it could be a few things. The PE might need drivers for your USB port (this is likely the case if the USB port is USB 3). It's al…

YHR, a WIM is a Windows Image. Basically it's a file based compressed file system of a type created by Microsoft. Generally speaking for a PE (preinstallation environment), it will contain most everything except the support files needed to boot…

Telecide,
Can you post pictures and logs?
-
Aomei products look for updates and will alert you to new versions automatically. If that feature is disabled, go to www.aomeitech.com and look to see what the latest versions of the programs you use are then download from the links.

Martin,
You can try data recovery software, but if you've overwritten data, a professional recovery service is probably about your only hope. in Restored to wrong drive Comment by darylsonnier April 2015

Pstein,
This will depend on your browser settings. The page does redirect you to CNET to download, but whether you get a CNET download utility or direct download depends on how you're configured with CNET. There are numerous sites with in…
-
Pstein,
There are no features to disable logging. You can post in suggestions and feedback to suggest such a feature to the developers.

Josparky,
I didn't catch that when I read it the first time. Sorry about that. It sounds like either a bug or an incompatibility between something in the software and something else installed on your computer. Tech support can remotely c…

Jfriend29,
The pro version should do what you want. It's ALWAYS recommended to make full disk backups when converting file systems or partition table types.
-
To go above 2 GB, you'd need to use GPT partition style. Some operating systems don't recognize that partition table style, so depending on your environment, it may not have recognized that drive. If it's partitioned MBR with partitions 2 GB or…
-
Collieman,
Can you put up some screen shots and the log files?
-
Josparky,
I'd recommend talking with tech support about the issue, but Aomei backupper can use the internal Windows Task Scheduler or its own to schedule backups. When you create a backup, be sure that the Use Aomei Scheduler option isn't …

Shawaan16,
Can you provide more information? What type of system? What model hard drive? Is it a network transfer? Is it internal over IDE, SATA, etc? USB enclosure? More information would be helpful. Also, how large and how many fil…
-
Zardoz,
The System Backup/Restore really only tries to backup and restore the main partition with the OS on it. If you want to backup/restore all partitions use a full disk backup.
-
MarvNY,
The USB adapter for your drive may be the issue. It's possible that it needs a driver that isn't included in a basic PE or the Linux kernel. Also, what type of partition are you using? Is it MBR based or GUID based?
-
Xander,
For a memory dump analysis, you will need to email technical support at [email protected].
-
Pauljs,
I will have to experiment with it. I was under the impression that you could mount the image even if it is a system image to get at individual files/folders.
-
Steje,
There is no way to do this currently.
-
Steje,
I have not tried this, but you could save the settings you want in your fully installed Aomei Backupper, then copy the backuprecovery.ini file into the backupper folder under PE Builder, then create your bootable ISO, thumb drive, et…
-
Xander,
You're providing an output path for an .adi file rather than a source such as disk 0 partition 0. Please refer to in [crash dump] Command line backup crash 0xc0000005 Comment by darylsonnier February 2015
-
Steje,
That's a very good idea. This should go in Suggestions and Feedback, though. I'll pass the idea onto development.
-
Pauljs,
You can restore the entire folder that contains a file then change the ACL for that folder. This is a known issue that hasn't been changed yet.
-
Jole60,
Aomei Backupper remembers the drive number of the drive you backed up. You can manually point the restore to any other available drive that has the required space and that you can write to.
-
Zaxie,
This is a known issue. It hasn't been corrected yet.
-
Mickeyb44,
Just in case it didn't happen automatically, make sure that the bootable partition on your cloned hard drive is set active. You can do this using Aomei Partition Assistant very easily.
-
Glad to help.
-
Subhuman,
Without being able to examine the system, I'll have to guess. That being said, I imagine that the free space was already there. It was probably showing 0 bytes free due to an error that was corrected through a subsequent reboot.…
-
Subhuman,
By chance, have you ever used Aomei PE Builder to create a bootable drive with Aomei Partition Assistant? If so, you'll need that tool. If not, I'd recommend you do this on another PC, so you can create the tool. Once you…

Miketurner201,
Are you reinstalling over an older installation? That is what the error messages would suggest. If so, try uninstalling the existing version first. Also, when Backupper installs, it creates a scheduling service for automat…
