On November 25, Microsoft pushed the optional update KB5007253 to all Windows 10 users, which will apply to multiple versions of Windows 10 and fixes a number of bugs including the network printer bug.

With this update, the previous bug that caused error codes 0x000006e4, 0x0000007c or 0x00000709 when connecting to a remote printer shared by Windows Print Server will be fixed.

Previously, after uninstalling font files, there was a certain probability that the settings screen would close unexpectedly, but now this problem has been fixed, and the problem of closing the Windows Game Bar screen capture and recording function that might occur in some cases has also been fixed.

In addition, the problem of Excel crashing when exporting PDF files using the 32-bit version of Microsoft Excel has also been solved in this update.

The update was pushed to Release channel users earlier this month, and according to feedback from users after receiving the push, the update does make a more effective fix for the network printer bug that has existed since August.

This update has a fairly wide coverage, will cover 20H1, 20H2, 21H1, 21H2 four versions, but also this will be 21H2 face the public users of the first update.
