Windows 11 SE System Fully Launched: Configuration Requirements Plummet

In November last year, Microsoft announced Windows 11 SE.

Because Win11 SE notebooks are mainly aimed at K8 or K12 education users, and the competition is Chrome OS, including Surface Laptop SE, the configuration of these notebooks is generally not high, which is a bit like a netbook back then.

Take the rare 14-inch "big screen" HP ProBook Fortis G9 as an example, the processor is Intel Celeron, 4 GB of memory, and 128 GB of SSD.

According to Microsoft, the advantage of Windows 11 SE over Windows 10 is that it has more complete optimization of touch and voice input, but the biggest difference between it and the full version of Win10/11 is that UWP, PWA and Win32 programs cannot be installed at will, such as via cloud administrators can configure or authorize in a unified manner, only under six categories, including browsers, accessible apps, content filtering apps, quizzes, school communications, and necessary debugging tools.

Of course, the advantage of Windows 11 SE is that the configuration requirements are very low. The high-performance CPU/8G memory/128 GB hard disk required by Win11 no longer exists. Microsoft has made special adaptation optimization for low-end hardware.

It is a little regrettable that Win11 SE/Surface Laptop SE has no plans to launch a national version for the time being. Microsoft's previous statement was to strive for the introduction of the next generation.
