As we all know, the UI of Windows 11 has undergone great changes. One of the most noticeable is the change in the desktop start menu bar. Compared with Windows 10, it looks more fashionable and more similar to a mobile phone. However, many users said that they have become accustomed to the Windows 10 desktop, and it is not like using the existing desktop UI in Windows 11. So, I will show you how to make the "Start" menu square again and bring back the active tile.

Press "Windows + R" on the desktop, type "regedit" and press Enter to open the registry editor. Navigate to the

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced path after opening.

1. Please right-click the blank area and select New> DWORD (32-bit) value.

2. Then, name the new keyword: Start_ShowClassicMode.

3. Double-click the key you just created and assign value data: 1 to it and click OK.

After the end, you have completed the operation, now you only need to restart the computer. After booting up, you will see that your desktop start bar menu has changed to look like Windows 10 instead of the new interface in Windows 11.

If you want to return to the Windows 11 start menu, you just need to go back to the registry and delete the key you created or change its value to 0 and restart the system again.

Whether you like the modern start bar menu brought by Windows 11 or the old-fashioned Windows 10 start menu, you can change it yourself according to the above methods.
