The BSOD problem seems to have been solved in version 6.2.
The correct drivers are now installed. Just a pity that it took so long.

I believe with the latest version (6.2.0) finally the correct drivers are installed
into Windows 10. This should resolve the BSOD issues.... at last... ;l0 -
Solution is to have 2 versions of the program available for download:
- for Windows 7 the present installation file with the current drivers;
- for Windows 10 a new installation file with the "test" drivers.
Make both programs availab… -

The whole problem with the drivers started with the unsigned installation files and revoked certificates 4 years ago. Had to wait a very long time to get the drivers signed then.
So a still ongoing problem I see.

It seems that the new drivers are still NOT present in version 6.
Version 6 still causes BSODs in WIndows 10 (latest version 2004, uptodate).

The cause is indeed known for more than 3 years, and it is the file amwrtdrv.sys.
The only version of this file that is working correctly is of the test version of Backupper.
The file is dated 12-19-2019, 17:57 and is 27.360 bytes.<… -

And now we have version 5.8 and it still has the old corrupt driver in the installation files.

Then I would suggest complete uninstall (keep license/registration key if you bought Pro version). Reboot and clean out the installation folder and the data folders of Backupper.
Then reinstall, hope that helps....

Using Backupper 5.7 Pro and cannot confirm this problem.
I am able to open the Manual from within the GUI.
Perhaps it is a quetions of Permissions.

And about the installation path in version 5.7.0. You can change the path but the installation program adds a sub folder named "AOMEI Backupper 5.7.0" after that. This is new compared to version 5.6.0.

You can use the latest version of Backupper but you have to replace the file "amwrtdrv.sys".

One of Microsoft's safety measures for unintentionally running malware drivers.Main question is:
When will the new driver finally be signed so that we can work with Backupper scheduled tasks again without problems?
How many weeks or months do we still have to wait before everything works normally again?

Running on Windows 10.1809 (17763.437).* Also the fonts are still very small on a display of 1600x900 with 125% dpi.
Could you please correct?
Thank you.I have this little UI bug while using Windows 10.1809 (17763.379) with PA Pro 8.1.
It is not visible when launching the program.
It becomes visible if you click somewhere in the light blue area, i.e. right next to the icon of "Free Backup"…I can confirm that in latest version PA Pro 8.1 the UI bug is still present, as is clearly visible in the screenshot in the comment of F13Reboot.
Please add an option in the settings to enlarge the font. Thank you.As a workaround you can copy the latest versions of the files 7z.dll and 7z.exe into the PA directory yourself.
I suppose it is a big sigh.... It is true that documentation is maybe not up to date, but making it up to date takes enormous efforts and a lot of time... so perhaps that is what the sigh is about
It means the program will start by itself and you can see that is started in the background because a small icon will appear in the system tray bar.
Did you alter the setup of your partitions (i.e. changed the drive letters in Windows disk management) since you created the backup job? If so, you should delete the old file backup task and recreate a new one.
Maybe you should make a System Backup of the system partition first and then Partition Backups of all other partitions that may be present on the problem drive.
After that do a restore of the System Backup with universal restore ticked on. …
You can choose the Disk Backup that is listed under the Restore tab and click on next.
