Just edited it to .mp3 and it still did not work.
You have been asked for at least 5 years for this feature and keep saying you will add it in the near future
I have only came back to using your product after I had to give up … -
I just check and by error I copied your key which had .mp4 so that is wrong as the music is .mp3.
I will test it now but I will still be backing up a lot of junk Album folders and Cover Art jpegs (not that they take up much space). -
Yes I left it the default VSS
Since when is music normally .mp4?
All my music is mp3 so I will try that but ideally I want to just add the whole folder or at least all file inside becasueI will end up with a Music folder backed… -
I assumed a Windows update did this twice in the recent past on my PC, I have burn on my screen due to both those setting suddenly not working.
Now I manually use a app when I leave or turn screen off. -
It will take time, it could run for days/week and not crash.
-
Even if they finally fixed it the other side (Sync Files) is a mess after 5.8 so i cannot use it.

Version 6.2 (Issued: 11/18/2020)
"Event Trigger" has been optimized.
Fixed: Tasks disappeared for no reason.
Fixed: In some cases, the computer cannot be started af…
Typo above I meant 5.9 onward
Already did and same as the BSOD there is no point they do not seem to be able to fix it.I have already said no to that, I know what I am doing as it is not rocket science and works in 5.8 so its your changed to 5.0 onward to blame.
I will try and explain in more detail alter but I feel their is a language barrier.I tried it all before and I am staying on 5.8 and forgetting backup, I cannot sit and wait hours and hours on HDD thrashing then doing same when it completes or PC restarts.
Why would I not check that setting as the way it is worded that …' ADMIN as soon as the Sync 100% Completed it simply started again from 1%, it ran for 6 hours this time before I stopped it. and HDD never stopped getting trashed.
If backup drives were SSD's they would be worn out by now after builds 5.…Tried a Basic Sync (it has more settings than the other more advanced versions), can only run on Schedule (Schedule did not work on 5.8 so I opted for Real Time and it was fine).
It took ages to get to 100% then simply started over so run…6.0 why make a new major build with same old bugs?
Not tried backup but the Sync Files (Real Time) still hammers HDD full speed after 100% complete and even on a reboot, 5.8 did not do this so 5.9 changes caused it.@ Admin, I have done that already multiple times and I am sick of it messing my PC up, if that ext HDD was an SSD it would be well worn by now.
Unless you fix the BSOD and the Syncing Issue 5.9 introduced I cannot use this software. Both if this is the fix for a week ago, but updating to 5.9 gave me those HDD thrashing Sync File issues.
I have already tried that unless your saying this is another newer fix.
What about my Files Sync issue, it was fine in 5.8 not 5.9I learned a while back on to back up your Tasks to the xml file and export it so you can import it alter after the past 1+ years BSOD's wipes it clean most times.5.9 same BSOD and the Sync side of it messes up also (I made multiple posts on topic) so I either go back to 5.8 and skip the backup side due to same BSOD but use it to Sync to my ext HDD or give up on this software. No I mean it all worked fine apart from the Verification setting does not do what I assume it does by it description.
The issue where it would thrash my HDD for hours then again at each reboot was not there but this is only one folder.
I tested with new Sync Task and only 1 folder at 93GB and it took 10-15secs to actually check (as it was already on the destination HDD previously).
I rebooted and there was no HDD activity from your App, I then added a new file and it wa…OK I did some testing and remember I am not actually moving the DATA as it is already there (I am not deleting 4TB+ and redoing it each time)so only had to check it.
I will post back later.I removed the Task and cleared History and rebooted and started fresh with that setting checked.
It will take while but I do not epect it to hammer my HDD on every Restart, even though neither are my OS drive its lags PC at times probabl…Ok after 3 hours is stops the activity but starts again after a reboot, there is no way I can let this run every startup for hours esp when no files have changed.OK will do later today (5am here), Real Time Sync should not need to do anything at boot if no files have changed and it does not do so unless that extra setting is checked. No sorry I have not let anyone do that ever in 20 years and not about to start now.
There is nothing you can do that I cannot do myself and if you want me to try something then instruct me but I really do not want my PC running slower at …The exact same, I Edited the Sync Task and checked that box and rebooted and HDD went crazy for 5 hours.
To undo it I Edited the Sync Task again and unchecked the box and rebooted which this time did stop the issue without deleting the Sy…It was the " Verify the Integrity" setting.
I never used this setting before but the description make it sound handy as if I delete a file from the Destination Drive by error it will be re-written where as normally it will not.
Found the issue (will post later on Sunday).OK but remember I did remake it the 2nd time after deleting the Sync and Clearing History, just as well it was not writing to the SSD for the daySame with myself apart from it could see the drive but not the system partition to add to backup.
5.9 brought back my partition but its a real buggy mess with instant BSOD and Syncing running 100% full time.
