I have tried this again, this time using the updated version of PA. As it was suggested by the program, I used the "Migrate OS" option, which created the WinPE environment, rebooted the laptop and proceeded with the clone.

Yes, it is Edition 9.14.0
I have just downloaded and installed the new version 10.1.0 so I will try the clone again, as you suggest.
