updating OS and reloading programs
Hi,
I want to upgrade my PC from Windows XP SP3 to Windows XP Black edition (enhanced XP). How do I restore my initial windows XP programs and data on top of the new OS? I probably cannot do a restore from system backup because that would reload the Windows XP SP3. Do I selectively reload the registry and all programs and data while excluding the windows directory? I have very old programs that I cannot get anymore and cannot reload programs individually. There are giveawayoftheday programs that can be installed only once.
Thanks,
Richie J

Thanks,
You're probably right, too bad it works so well. As far as the reinstallation, I have never heard of anyone reloading programs either.
