Computer cannot boot from the new ssd installed with Win7

Have you ever encountered such problem:

Replace old hdd with new ssd to get higher speed. Disconnect hdd, install ssd and install Win7 on ssd. All go fine and boot from ssd successfully. Then, turn off pc and re-connect the old hdd. Turn on pc and go to bios to change the boot order. Strange thing is that the hdd is marked as Windows Boot Manager. Then exit bios without any change and wait the pc boot. However, nothing happen but the screen go black with a flashing under-score cursor in the top left of screen. Then, turn off the pc again and disconnect the hdd. Since there is only the ssd has Windows, hope it can boot but get the same result. What’s more? When I replace the new ssd back with the old hdd, it boots as normal.

What the hell is the problem?

Some computers' BIOS requires that you let it detect the drives then save changes before they properly detect the boot record of your HDD or SSD.  Switching back and forth on such a machine will likely not work without you explicity going into the BIOS, ensuring that the drives are detected properly, the boot order is set properly, then the changes are saved before exiting.
