Hi Sohrab,
Yes, please post us the log files.
I had this issue. I found out I had to be logged into the computer I was backing up with the same credentials as the destination.
I am having another issue though where I am trying to restore from a network location but it doesn't ask for my network credentials and keeps telling me I cannot access the backup due to wrong credentials.
Hi helpdesk,
About your problem, please also post us your log files.
How do you get the log file?
The .log files are stored in the installation folder for the software.
c:\program files (x86)\aomei backupper (version number)
I have same issue

Hopefully this might help. I had a similar issue. I had skipped the step "SHARE NAS/DEVICE". See https://www.winhelp.us/configure-aomei-backupper-in-windows.html
This is possibly because you don't have write permission to this folder. You can use another account to log on or you can change the destination folder.

till last week the backup completes without any error, but right now i'm getting an error like this, i also have four other backups with this same location all other are working correctly except this one...any one please help me to solve this issue,...
I know this is an old thread but I'm having a similar problem, hope you can help.
I've been trying to do a Basic Sync to backup a NAS folder (containing server backups) but I always get an error at 90%...I read above that the network credentials could be causing this issue but I've tested them when I added the paths and the credentials worked just fine.
Here's the log:
I hope you can help, it's frustrating to have an error at 90%...
Thanks.
Sorry for my late response but I went on vacation last week.
I did exactly what you suggested, I accessed the NAS folder with the credentials used for managing the backups (with read and write permissions), I deleted the NAS.xml file and reconnected the NAS on AOMEI via Tools/Storage Management. So far, so good.
I deleted the old Basic Sync task, created a new one and started the sync (this was yesterday on the afternoon). Today when I went to check the sync status, I had a network error again...it seems that the credentials were discarded at some point because I even lost access to the NAS folder on Windows Explorer.
Here's the log (there is not much info):
I accessed the server by RDP (on a VPN connection), is it possible that when I disconnect the RDP session from the server that somehow the credentials stop working? It shouldn't happen but It's really strange that I keep getting the "network error" and loose access to both NAS folders....
I did the process again and restarted the sync, I'm gonna leave the RDP session opened to see if I notice any odd situation....
Do you have any idea why is this happening?
I really like AOMEI software and it's the first time I have an issue using it, I hope you can help me!
Thanks in advance.
Could you send us the whole log folder under the installation directory of AOMEI Backuper so that we check the problem further?
The first time I had an issue with the sync, I had accessed the NAS folder on windows explorer with the NAS administrator credentials but that same credentials wouldn't work on AOMEI (a bit strange, don't understant why that happenedf) so I used another user that was created only to manage the backups on the NAS (spxbackup) and maybe that was what originated the network error....but I'm just guessing.
This last time I configured AOMEI (on the 2nd attempt, that last log on my post it's from the 1st attempt), I used that same user on windows explorer to access the NAS folder and in AOMEI (deleted the NAS.xlm as you suggested) and had no problems so far, the sync is running ok since yesterday.
Let's see how it goes this time, I'll give you some feedback after.
Thanks for the help!
