Partition Assistant Aborted converting MBR to GPT, is anything recoverable?
Ran MBR to GPT conversion (to be able to migrate to Windows 11). It went through a bunch of passes, rebooted, went through a few more and then said too many fragmented files, not enough space, process aborted, press enter to continue. I switched it back to legacy bios and I was able to boot. My C drive is on a 2T drive with 1.3T free. If Partition Assistant failed, do you think Microsoft's MBR2GPT might be successful. I tried the regedit workaround to bypass the secureboot check, but it doesnt work.
Comments
Microsoft's MBR2GPT will delete all partitions on the disk for the conversion.
