Backup and clone will not complete

Running Aomei Backupper Professional v7.3.3 on Windows 7 Home Professional system with two 1TB SSD's in RAID 0 configuration. Last full backup was a year ago with no problems. Tried running several times this weekend - gets 58% complete then fails, saying "Bad Disk Sector" or something to that effect. Tried disk clone - same problem. Windows Backup also fails, but won't say why. Tried running CHKDSK and it gets 10% compete and then freezes. Tried all of the above several times. Aside from this, the system seems to be running fine - fast and stable. Any way to "force" completion to get past the "bad" sectors.

  • @Anarion55, You can use AOMEI Partition Assistant or a third-party tool (HDTune, MHDD) to check if there are bad sectors. If there indeed are some bad sectors, you'd better change a new disk to save your data.

This worked for me when cloning disk with bad sectors.
    Clonezilla - non-GUI cloning USB

If the source disk has Bad Sectors, use Expert Mode > "-rescue" option to continue cloning all readable sectors
