Hello Ronaldo, thank you for telling us that an Aomei product is taking too long to resize. You didn't say which product, it sounds like Partition Assistant (PA). For most posts on Aomeitech.com, please include a screenshot. In my experience with PA, it works well, except for resizing, that usually takes a large amount of time. For that reason, I almost never use PA to resize. When I need to resize a partition, as an alternative, I use Disk Management (DM), that usually goes very fast and almost never has en error. DM can be found by going to Start > "Disk M" will bring it up. If you need to resize outside of Windows, in a WinPE USB, for example, you could use Hirens > Disk Management. If you are advanced, you could also use Linux Mint / Mate / Zorin > Gnome Disks or GParted to resize, but in my experience, in very rare cases, it has corrupted the NTFS partition during resize, so I rarely do that now, or you could use Cmd > Diskpart.
If you have started resizing, and it is taking a large amount of time, I would not risk cancellation, there is no guarantee it will not corrupt the partition. I look forward to Aomei's reply about the level of risk of cancelation.
    Partition Assistant WinPE USB:
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary.

Aomei WinPE Builder 2.0 USB, includes: Partition Assistant, Backupper, Recuva, OSF Mount, CPU-Z, Bootice. Does not support any additional drivers, such as some internal NVMe disks.

Great free tools not from Aomei:
Linux Mint - Quick Boot Utility
Hirens Boot PE - live USB tool suite
160 utilities, old BU 6.5.1, PA 9.2.1. To add custom drivers, such as NVMe, simply put them into the “CustomDrivers” folder. Hirens is not recommended in combination with Ventoy USB.

  • @Ronaldo, Have you ended the process via reboot computer? or Has it been completed now?
Generally, we suggest that you do not end the partition adjustment operation midway, as this may cause data loss or partition damage. Please wait for it complete.
