AOMEI Partition Assistant taking too long

Hello,

So I downloaded AOMEI partition assistant, and used it to resize (shrink) partition [from 449 to 303 GB].
It rebooted into PreOS mode and is doing its thing, but the issue is with how long its taking to finish.

Is there a way to abort without damage or losing data?
Or the best option is to wait it to finish?

I highly recommend not canceling that procedure once it has started. When you attempt to perform a task, such as shrinking a system partition, and it requires you to reboot, Aomei Support recommends WinPE mode, instead of PreOS mode.
In my experience, when using Partition Assistant (PA) for resizing partitions, it takes a very long time, regardless if I do it inside of Windows, or during a reboot mode. Usually, I recommend using Disk Management to resize partitions, if possible, instead of PA, because DM is much faster. You could also use PA USB WinPE, but DM is still faster.
Please reply with your disk type, HDD, SSD 2.5" SATA, M.2 SATA, or M.2 NVMe, or other.
    Partition Assistant WinPE USB:
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary.

Aomei WinPE Builder 2.0 USB, includes: Partition Assistant, Backupper, Recuva, OSF Mount, CPU-Z, Bootice. Does not support some internal NVMe disks, or other additional drivers.

    Great Tool not from Aomei:
Hirens Boot PE - live USB tool suite
160 utilities, old BU 6.5.1, PA 9.2.1. To add custom drivers, such as NVMe, simply put them into the “CustomDrivers” folder. Hirens is not recommended in combination with Ventoy USB.
