[AOMEI Backupper Pro]Universal restore from MBR Hdd to uninitiated M.2 NVME SSD

Hello.

I will be using the universal restore tool to create a back up image for my old MBR Boot drive.

I plan to restore it to a brand new NVME SSD (unformated, uninitiated) soon.

The question is, will the restored system be formatted to GPT automatically, or will it stays as MBR even on the M.2 NVME SSD ?

@MariusCronos, It will initiate the target disk to MBR format.

@admin Is there anyways I can turn the target disk to GPT without files/data loss?

 If I use Windows' bootable to initiate them as GPT prior to the universal restore, will the targetted drives be GPT after the universal restore?

This means if I initialized the nvme SSD as GPT beforehands,
when I restore system back up image (from MBR disk to the GPT nvme ssd) it should restore as GPT, right?

@MariusCronos, Yes. But, if the target disk is empty, it will prompt if you want to convert the target disk to the same format as source. If you get the prompt, please click "No".
