Restore a remote machine

I have a backup sitting on a share path that I can access and restore my local HDDs. I'd like to know if it is possible to restore the same backup to a remote machine sitting elsewhere on the network. I triped mapping out the C:\ drive of that remote machine but my network Drive did not appear in the restore options.

Anyone has an idea how to do it or if it is eve npossible with this tool? I'm using Aomei Backupper standart version.

  • Hi Mathieucohen,

Standard version can do it. Here are the steps:

    1. Choose "Home" on the main interface and put the mouse pointer on the backup that you want to restore from. Then, you can see three options on the bottom of the picture. Select "Restore" and it will automatically skip to Restore section.

    2. Pick the backup image file you intend to perform on and click "Next".

    3. Choose the target you want to restore and go on.

    4. Select a destination path to restore. Here, in your situation, you should select "Restore to a new location". Click "Browse", choose "Network" and select the remote machine you want to restore to. Here, you are required to enter the username and password of the machine. Then, just follow the instructions.
