Unable to explore folder(s) of backup image

Prior to a complete system rebuild, I did an AOMEI system backup of the C drive (boot disk/partition). After the rebuild (the system backup was not used!), I wanted to restore some non-system files from the system backup, however doing an 'explore image', the image(s) are loaded into I: and K: (as expected) but trying to access the files in 'My Documents' is refused because of a permission issue. I have attempted to change ownership using the security tab as suggested without success (system reports the 'files' are read-only).
I know the current user name is different than the one in the backup image (eg current user name is 'My Name', user name when the backup was created was 'my name' . Can anyone help with a process for getting access to the files of a user in the backup image? Cheers

  • Known problem. But only with Windows Explorer. Use another file explorer like Q-dir.exe (google it) or cmd.exe or anything else. Run these as administrator.
  • Thnx Johnny - I'll give that a try. Cheers
