Blank Screen and Blinking Cursor after Increasing C: Partition

I bought the software to increase the size of the C: partition. D: was decreased to create unallocated space. I then extended C:. This seemed to work. The C: partition was increased. The next morning the computer was non-responsive. There is only a black screen and a blinking cursor. My wife wants to kill me. Help please!!!


What can be done to correct this issue? Any help would be appreciated!

    Please boot from Partition Assistant bootable media and then Rebuild MBR.

    I am very disappointed in the slow response time. I had to get it running asap and received no response for four days. If this a common problem, please include it in the instructions. I ended up buying an enclosure, pulling the hard drive and found it was not active. Made it active then had to download Windows 7 installation iso to a USB. Windows found a problem with the bootmgr and repaired it. Now it is up and running.
