Cannot complete Clone using Free Std

Have tried to clone my C-drive several times, but always fail with error 33. Have used Partition Assist Lite to look for bad sector, but none found. Ideas for what else to try?

    Can you make a system or disk backup to an external device? And if that works restore that to the new disk?

    I can do that, but that doesn't accomplish what I want; a duplicate of my HD.

    John, backup and restore gives the same result as clone. What is the difference in your opinion?

    I am talking way above my "paygrade". But, my understanding is that if I have a complete internal HD failure, a backup and restore cannot duplicate on the new HD what I had on the failed HD; whereas a clone will. Am I in error about this?

    The other question I have relates to the error message I get when trying a clone function saying that there is a bad sector; yet when I scan the drive it finds no bad sector. Any ideas?

    Please use Backupper to
    create a bootable media, boot your computer from the media to do the operations.
