Aomei Server Backupper email notifications not working

I am using the Server version and I cannot get the email notifications to work. I get a "Sorry, Failed to send the test message" error. I have tried the Aomei Server, Gmail and the custom smtp

Do I have to open any firewall ports

The firewall ports are: 8888 HTTP 69 TFTP 4011 DHCP 67 DHCP
