Aomei Linux driver

Hi everyone,

First, i apology for my english, i'm terrible and i know it ...

we have some problem with laptop or desktop computer with Aomei Linux.
The linux driver did not recognize our external HDD on every USB slot.

If we boot WinPE with Dell USB Driver it work, obviously, but it seems like the linux driver is not compatible with Dell PC's, we got older PC and it work perfectly, but not on the newer.

Someone have the same problem as us ?

Thank for the help,

Dimitri.

  • Note : I tried to add in the initrd the USB driver.

But now it wont boot, whenever i try to modify a lil bit it wont boot, syslinux is loading, initrd too, but after this, blackscreen

  • You can boot the winpe sucessfully, right? Maybe the LINUX ISO cannot support your computer currently. Please use the WINPE. Sorry again for the inconvenience.

It can yes, but after adding my windows driver.
And the problem is WinPE is far far longer to boot than Linux ...

Is there a doc' for Aomei linux ? like explain how to add driver in the initrd ?

And btw, do we have right to do it ? Like modify the initrd of aomei, is this open source ?

A strange things is the universal usb driver for linux is not supported for Dell PC's (intel chipset ...)

  • Sorry, we will improve the LINUX in the future. But for now, you cannot add the driver to the LINUX bootable media manually. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please try to use the winpe at the present.

  • Ok, thanks for the help.

    Have a nice day !
