How do I make a Disk Image of a Read-Only Disk?

I have a corrupted disk that I want to make a (forensic) copy of before I start poking around.  But I want to be sure that Windows doesn't change one bit first.  So I have it attached with a SATA-to-USB adapter that has a read-only switch.  (made by Coolgear).  Windows 10 Disk Manager sees the drive and the remaining partitions.  It has it's size, etc., but marked as "Read Only", which is correct.

The problem is that Backupper does not want to make an image of it.  I never enables the "Start Backup" button.  I have an image of another disk where I did this, so I'm not sure why this one won't work.  Any ideas?

Thanks

  • Does the software recognize that disk? Can you set the backu task for that disk?
