Code 21

I am doing a incremental backup and I get the following message; Code 21 - Not enough memory, please close and re-run the program and try agian, or you could reboot computer and release more memory to retry.

I have plenty of free space, 915 GB.  I am backing up to a Seagate USB External Drive, 1 TB.  What do I need to do?
