Create Bootable Media?

When I went to make the bootable disk and selected the Windows PE option it told me that Windows AIK/ADK was not on my Windows XP computer. I was then taken to this link... http://www.backup-utility.com/help/aik.html


When I clicked on that link it gave a download that takes me to a link for Windows 7 AIK. This...

Your page says the above Microsoft download is compatible with Windows XP...

BUT, that download link says these are the supported operating systems...

Does your link need corrected? Is there a AIK specifically for Windows XP? Is the link below the CORRECT one I need or will the one for Windows 7 work on my XP desktop?

    yes you need the AIK for Windows 7, that is on Windows XP

    Hmm...  did you see in my links above there is a download link for AIK for Win7 and a different AIK download for WinXP? You still are telling me I want to put the AIK for Win7 on a computer runnugn WinXP? That doesn't sound right.

    Yes, but there are links in my post above that state one is for Win7 and the other is for WinXP. I was asking which one I should get and no one addressed the WinXP AIK link.

    we already told you that you need the Win7 AIK link. I don't desire to discuss why you should not use the XP link, and besides that the reason can be found in the internet forums.

    you may want to discuss the differences between the various AIK's on microsofts forums.
