Can I restore a partition later to a partition with different size?

Assume I backupped my system partition with 64bit Win7.

Then I resized my system partition but something went wrong and my Win 7 does not start anay more.

Can I restore my previously backuped (with Aomei backupper) system partition into the new partition with different size?

Of cause provided that there is enough free space available.


Or is it absolutely required that the backup partition size is exactly the same as the restore partition?

    Some people said that they had problems restoring a backup to a partition with different size but always when I tried it it worked fine.

    Yes, the software can restore to different partition size, but it is better to be larger than the original partition size. You can just restore the backup and if there is any problem, please feel free to let us know.
