edited November 2015 in AOMEI Products Support

We want to clone my system HD to empty HD.  The empty hard drive has to be partition.  We have Partition Assitance Standard installed. I am not sure the step to take. I using Windows 10

  • Why does it have to be partitioned - an empty drive ( I assume it has been assigned a drive letter) is a single partition.

Are you trying to create multiple partitions on the drive????

  • I want to clone my HD to larger HD.  The HD has been erased.  When tried to the cloning the HD  it said the drive had to be partitioned

  • Run PA.
Select the drive in the top pane, highlight/right click and select 'Create Partition'.
A popup asks you to size the partition(s) using the slider.
If you only want one partition, move the slider accordingly.
Click 'OK' then when satisfied, click 'Appply' top left of menu.
