A Beginner Doubt

Hi, I am testing Partition Assistant Freeware and I am wondering if it is possible to migrate my OS to a SSD from a larger underused HDD partition. Specifically, can I migrate Win7 OS from my old 460GB MBR partition with only 170BG used space to my new 240GB SSD?

    As for your query,the PA Freeware support you to migrate your OS from a MBR disk to a MBR disk,if it's a GPT disk the freeware does not support it.As for the second question,you can migrate it.

    Thanks admin for the rapid response. To avoid confusion I must say both disks (source and target) have MBR format. The point is if PA Freeware can migrate my OS even if source partition size (460GB) is greater than target disk size (240GB) but source used space is not (170GB).

    Yes,if the space of your target disk bigger than the space of your source disk you have used.
