How to create backup sets?

Hello, I'm a long-term Ghost and Symantec System Recovery user. Have heard a lot of good things about Backupper and am trying to use Backupper Pro on a Windows 10 desktop. I need help scheduling backup sets.

With Ghost and Symantec System Recovery, I used to create the following:

1. Full image + incremental images = backup set

2. Create image every night

3. Start a new backup set once a week (Friday night)

4. Retain 4 backup sets.

With this, I would be able to retain 4 full backup sets (each backup set being 1 FULL + 6 INCREMENTAL). The first image of the FIFTH backup set (FULL image) will then delete the first backup set (FULL + 6 images).

How can I achieve this with Backupper Pro?

  • Hi,

Sorry that Backupper doesn't support to achieve that. What Backupper can do is retaining the latest 1 set backup. With the backup scheme, you can set incremental backup scheme, then set to keep 7 version of backups. Then Backupper will delete the older 1set backups(7 versions of backups) after the next set completed.
