Cloning boot disc under windows 10

When I tried to clone (AOMEI partition assistant standard) the Boot Dics C: (SSD Samsung 128 GB) to another SSD (SandDisk SSD Plus 240 GB) linked via an USB to SATA converter by sector by sector copy, the assistant showed correctly the message that disc copy would be performed in the PreOS Mode. After restart of the PC, a short moment a DOS-window appeared, but afterwards Windows 10 started as usual. Is this correct? If not, can you recommend any solution?

    Hi,

    Please make a bootable disk using Partition Assistant. Then boot from the bootable disk to migrate OS to your SSD. Please don't use the Partition Copy or Disk Copy to clone your OS. We suggest that you use Migrate OS to SSD or HDD Wizard.
