Partition Assistant - error Code 12

I am using Partition Assistant Standard to migrate. My OS form a 1TB HDD to. 500G SSD. Used space on the HDD is only 160G

When attempting to migrate the OS via the wizard, I get error code 12 (preOS mode). Disk Environment has changed.?

I noticed after reboot that my new SSD is now Disk1 and before the migration attempt/reboot it was Disk 7.

I believe that I also have a recovery partition on the HDD that I tried to leave behind.

Do I have to do this manually instead of the Wizard ?

How can I do this ?

You can make a bootable media, then boot from the media to migrate OS.
