Backupper 3.1 Standard - restoration from NAS

edited August 2015 in AOMEI Products Support

Hello,

I hope someone can help me :)

I've have been seeing the following message after restoring a disk backup from a NAS using Backupper 3.1 Standard

Failed to assign a drive letter for the volume, please manually add a drive letter for the volume by disk management.

It occurs only when restoring this way, if the restoration reads the file from a external HD, the process is completed succesfully.

Thanks in advance,

Gustavo

  • We need to test this problem. Currently you can go to Windows Disk Management to assign drive letters for the partitions.

    Thanks for the answer.

I noticed that in some computers, it works. We suspect that it has something to do with AHCI configs on the BIOS (we have some old computers that doesn't support it)

Using PEBuilder (nice tool by the way), the Windows Disk Management doesn't open :(
