Log file ampa3.txt is getting larger and larger while running Partition to Partition transfer

edited February 2014 in AOMEI Products Support

Hi everyone,

I'm a first time user of AOMEI software and my purpose is to transfer a partition from one drive to another. While the transfer is running, a log file named ampa3.txt, located at C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard Edition 5.5\log, is running as large as 100GB around the half of the operation and it could even saturate my OS drive.

Note:

- OS: Windows 8 Professional 64-bit running [email protected] w/4GB RAM

Please tell me why this large log file and can I delete it during the operation? If not, will the transfer go through even if my hard drive is full? Thank you for your help.

John

  • It seems as if its just for recording events in the system. I opened a new discussion with photos on your subject which I believe is the same as mine
