Extremely slow loading of Backupper using Bootup disk
I have created a WIN 7 Bootup DVD in Backupper. My Toshiba laptop
(Win 7 professional) boots, loads up and displays Backupper program screen quite
quickly. The program then works responsively as per expectations. But
with my Desktop PC (Win 7 home premium) it takes around half an hour to
load up and display Backupper program screen. Then the program seems to work fairly
slowly in some respects such that it not always certain it has actually
responded to selected commands. What happens when booting up is that
the blue rectangle appears, and the message "Loading, please wait"
displays, with the little loading wheel rotating and dots moving at the
bottom left. Then after a few minutes the wheel and dots disappear, and
the "Loading, ..." text stays. Then it takes around half an hour for
Backupper to finish loading ready to be used. None of these delays
(freezing) occur with the laptop.
The actual program itself
works quite well initially in creating backups etc etc on both computers. It is
just the later bootup on the desktop PC which causes such a hassle.
Both computers work perfectly normally in other general respects. I
have made Bootup DVDs on both computers, and both DVDs behave the same with the desktop PC.
Any help on the likely cause would be much appreciated, thanks.
