Wanted to extend system partition and it stuck on pre boot screen

I wanted to extend my main partition. I choose one unused disk to connect it to the partition C.

Program said it needs a reboot, and after that I got this screen: image


Nothing changed for the last 2 hours. What do I do now?

My OS is WIN7

    you can exit the program by restarting your
    computer. I recommend you create a bootable media using Partition Asistant. You can boot from it and do this operation again

    I am extremely nerves at this point reading the comments above. I have purchased the server version of partion assist and used it to extend my main C drive from spare capacity on my D drive. I have the exact same screen as Tamaloo has posted and mine has been displayed for several hours! am i to understand my only option is a restart with possible data loss and an unusable server?
