destination path not writeable

I am the admin there is nothing wrong with the path I can cut and paste into it just fine. I am using 64 bit windows 8. I had to reinstall the OS and now I am trying to retreive my files. Any suggestions? I tried original path and new path I also tried restarting the machine...

    Hi instead of creating a new topic I thought id just comment on this one. I have the same problem right now. @gannon11000 Why would I creat a boot disk? and

    I actually I ended up creating a new topic.

    You can try to use Explore Image in Utiites to mount the backup image. Then you can copy the files to where you want to them to be.
