Can't clone GPT SSD to GPT SSD because of add

I'm trying to clone 1T GPT SSD onto a 2T GPT SSD. Is there something I'm missing?

Aomei Backupper is one of the best backup suites, well worth paying about $35 for. If you do not want to pay that, you can use BU free to create a backup image .ADI, then restore the image to your destination disk. Uninstall BU free to be offered 50% off MSRP price. BU free version does not directly clone GPT disks, or MBR system disks, it only clones MBR data disks.
    Backupper WinPE USB:
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary. Does not work with some monitors.

    Partition Assistant WinPE USB:
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary.

    Aomei WinPE 2.0 Builder USB:
Partition Assistant, Backupper, Recuva, 7zip, OSF Mount, CPU-Z, Bootice, diskmgmt.msc. Does not support any additional drivers, such as some internal NVMe disks.
    https://www.ubackup.com/pe-builder.html
    Free tools not from Aomei:
Ventoy - Best Multiboot USB Creator
    https://www.ventoy.net/en/index.html

Hirens Boot PE - live USB tool suite
    https://www.hirensbootcd.org
160 utilities, old BU 6.5.1, PA 9.2.1. Put custom drivers, such as NVMe drivers, into the “CustomDrivers” folder. Hirens is not recommended in combination with Ventoy USB.
    Clonezilla - non-GUI cloning
    https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php
If the source disk has Bad Sectors, use Expert Mode > "-rescue" option to continue cloning all readable sectors

  • so its not free to do this

  • Earlier free versions of BU did allow cloning of MBR system disks, but AOMEI have removed this ability from later versions - presumably to "encourage" people to buy the paid version which, as Aiartisan says, is quite good value
