Failed to send email notifications?

If you setup email notification with AOMEI Backupper but cannot receive the email, try this solution troubleshoot and fix it.

This article applies to: AOMEI Backupper version 2.0.1 and higher versions.

Introduction:

Enabling the Email Notification option in Backupper, you can receive emails about the results of the backup tasks. This feature is very useful especially when running unattended backups. But sometimes you cannot receive emails at planned time. So, how to check this problem?

Solution:

  1. Use Aomei SMTP Server

    a. Click “Send Test Message” to check whether or not the program can send message successfully.

    b. If the test message can be sent successfully, but you still don’t receive the emails in your mailbox.

     Please check whether or not the emails are sent to the spam folder.

     Please check whether or not you have enabled the spam filter.

     Please make sure that you have enable Email Notification for the backup tasks.

  2. Use your own email server(paid versions)

If you also don’t receive emails by using your own server, please follow the above steps to check the settings.
