Have to agree. This is my most wished for improvement. Sometimes I need to explore an image but have to wait an hour for a backup to finish because I can't open the interface whilst a backup is running.

The scripts were in the original question. they are basically the one's that are provided by AOMEI. I just changed the drive letter.

on my PC the system partititon is C the Boot partition is G both on the same drive.
The G partition is Visible and is 100 MB in size. I hope that make it clearer to you.

what I meant was that its backing up the same drive it's a full backup every 7 days with incrementals in between.

Both backups are full system backups if one was affected surely both would be?
the only difference being a different schedule.
And I don't know what you mean "and it is not the first time you run into questions." ?

When I try a manual backup I get the same error.
when I make a new backup it works.
I can't see that anything has changed as my 2 hourly backups are for the same drive and thay are working fine?

I will try it again and see what happens. this time I will format the drive first.
Backupper did say that everything on the drive would be deleted though.

Original drive is Disk 0 the clone is Disk 4 , used Backupper Pro

Actually this is becoming a bit of a pain! I run backups a lot so I am constantly getting this problem.
Is there any chance this might be changed?

I just click the cancel button in that instance, no need for the Do not schedule button at all.
I think that is just confusing to be honest.

I know That if you backup the system drive it automatically backs up the boot Partition, I think it does the recovery partition as well. Just try it you will soon see what it does.

I love AOMEI backupper for one reason , I have tested almost all the other products on the market.
I used two identical hard drives and made and restored dozens of system backups over and over again.
The only one that NEVER … -
I had a power spike that made my win10 system crash and burn.
Tried to restore using shadow protect and it would not boot (had this many times before) so I tried using their Boot repair and it managed to try to repair the wrong disk and wip…

Look for VSSFix.exe
It worked for me
