Forum members often report that the CD/ DVD stops at 99%, but are still able to boot from it. Probably an error in the Windows DVD burn program. You can try on another legacy PC of the same 32/64-bit processor type if you can't change the boot orde…

Can you still boot from the DVD? And is Legacy the right option for you? On UEFI PC you need the UEFI version.
-
Install a fresh Windows 10 on the SSD and the programs you need. Use your HDD as a data drive. You need to set the HDD to inactive (as boot drive) because you can only have one boot disk. No Aomei needed for these actions.
That is what I would… -
Just import configuration in the Home tab (the little down/left arrow) or Explore the image in the utilities menu en choose Path to point to the backup files. In both cases a new task will show up in the Home tab.

You try with Windows Diskpart to clean the card, see if that works.

They can get broken you know. Throw it away and buy a new one.

It depends on your computer whether it is possibile to boot from a GPT disk. If it was originally Win7 it is most likely that it boots only from MBR disks since the BIOS does not support UEFI. GPT boots only in UEFI. MBR boots only in traditional BI…

When I assign a drive to the backup job and try to explore it,
Are you using Explore Image in the Utilities menu or are you doing something else?
You don't assign a drive to the image, Aomei does. And not to the job but to th… -
if that makes any difference?
Yes
Or a checked "Make an exact backup" in the Backup Options tab Intelligent sector. -
It seems odd that both drives would fail at the same time.
Have you tried connecting them to another PC?
Or do you have a cable or case to connect them through USB?
Is it possible to run Repair Windows from the Wi… -
Try this:
Clean the destination disk first with Windows Diskpart making sure nothing is left of the previous data or partitions.
Assuming there are no other partitions you need. Otherwise backup them first.
Then Restore.

If you have only C and E besides the hidden system partitions, you can make a disk backup.
if E is on another physical disk or the main disk has more partitions you don't want to backup, you can make a system backup and a separate partition bac… -
So it is solved?

List of files that won't be backed up are listed here in the registry of Windows:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToSnapshot
Aomei respects those entries. So that is a possible way to ex…

I hope your new machine is not UEFI based. AFAIK most (all?) Win7 boot only on BIOS not UEFI machines

So still a HDD failure. Not all the data was readable after all.
Before throwing that away, you can look at some Youtube videos on HDD repair. Good luck. -
EasyBCD will always work. On BIOS legacy and on UEFI. Don't be concerned about the warning that some EFI options are disabled. All you need actually works fine.
You can install EasyBCD in every Windows if you like. Doesn't matter, they al… -
I would say in Windows A, you unassign (delete) the current drive letters related to Windows B and vice versa.

Two different physical drives? Two OS's can also be installed on the same HDD/SSD in different partitions.
If you have two physical drives connected there must only be one bootable, that is with an active boot sector and system partition. If b… -
Just a question:
Is your new laptop capable of booting in legacy mode? Otherwise it won't even boot on MBR disks. -
Or, and better, if you start to Explore the backup in Aomei, you see the backup Type and the Date and Time of that backup.

Everything before the last full backup. With every new full backup starts a new "chain" of incremental or diffential backups.

Just a thought: is the new hardware compatible with the old hardwares partition style? I mean is the old hardware BIOS with MBR disk(s) and the new hardware UEFI with GPT disk(s)? They are not compatible. Must be the same type on old and new hardwar…

If the Linux media boots you probably have a legacy computer. So UEFI can't work. In that case you must use the legacy version of WinPE USB/DVD

@Tjsepka. That is not what I asked. But I reckon you did try the legacy version of WinPE.
I recommend you try making another WinPE disk on another 32 bit … -
BTW did you try the legacy version of WinPE or the UEFI version? It appears that you need the legacy version since Linux only boots on legacy systems. So you must have a legacy system.

Do you use a wireless mouse? A wired mouse works for me.

Rename it then and see what happens. You can always rename back.

Can you delete that file manually by booting from a Windows Installation DVD/USB and do Shift+F10 or an Aomei DVD/USB and goto to Command prompt in Utilities? I found that file in C:\program files (x86) two times and in C:\Windows\system32.

They are not seen in File manager (Explorer) because you deleted all partitions. So you have to create new partitions again.
In Windows Disk Management.
Or in Aomei PA if they are visible there,
