I used the download link you provided, and downloaded v4.0 (must be pretty new). This installed OK on XP, so I have no problems now.

Of course, a "gialog" box is the same as a "dialog" box .... just spelt incorrectly ...

I have also seen this. I sometimes have to enter the captch twice before it works. Also, occasionally I get a gialog box that just says "100" pop up when I hit the Post Comment button. What's that all about? :-)

It does seem to use the US keyboard layout. I have a UK layout which is slightly different to the US one, but I have grown used to the differences, so I know how the keys a re mapped.

No. Just copy all your data off the stick somewhere safe, make the stick bootable and then copy it back on again. It will still be visible.
