Unable to create USB Boot Device

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell XPS 8500.  I have been able to create USB Boot Devices with other software such as Avast.  The create Bootable Disc option in AOMEI BackUpper is not selectable with any of my USB devices in either a 3.0 or 2.0 USB Port.on the computer.  The "No Supported USB Devices" message in the selection box will not go away.  I am presently elvuating the free version of BackUpper and would like to solve the USB Boot issue before purchasing the software.  Any ideas on what the problem might be.
