USB HDD not detected by AOMEI Backupper 1.6

edited December 2013 in AOMEI Products Support

Hello,

I have been using AOMEI Backupper 1.6 for a while and untill today didn't had problems or bugs of any kind.

The bug i have discovered is related to a computer with 2 external USB drives.

When i try to create a backup job, i found that AOMEI Backupper only detects one USB external HDD, ignoring the other USB drive detected by the operating system (Windows 7 Pro 32 bits).

The external drives are from the following manufacturer:

Western Digital My Book USB 3.0 (2TB) - Windows SES driver

Western Digital My Book Essential USB 3.0 (2TB) - Windows SES driver (not detected by AOMEI)

The destination of the backups is a NAS drive on my network and i am trying to find a solution for this problem.

If anyone encountered this error please reply to this topic.

Thanks,

Rui

  • Hello Rui,

We are sorry for the inconvenience. If AOEMI Backupper cannot recognize this disk in Windows, I suppose this disk is an advanced format disk. However, the current version do not support advanced format disk. We will improve this program to support advanced format disk in the next version.

If you have any other qustions please don't hesitate to let us know.

    Best Regards,
