resized efi partition laptop boots to grub

Hi, I used partition assistant to resize EFI partition. The laptop restarted performed operations and then boots to grub prompt only. This is a dual boot EFI/GPT  Windows 10 pro and ubuntu 20.04. Grub2 as bootloader.

I went ahead and purchased a Professional license.

    Hello M400,
    AOMEI Partition Assistant currently doesn't support ubuntu. It can't resize the ubuntu partition.
    How did you resize the EFI partition? shrink it? or extend it? It seems that the "resized efi partition" operations also "resize" the ubuntu partition.
