Windows 10 users with Controlled Folders activated are likely to experience this fault code when attempting to explore an image. The simple solution is to allow AOMEI controlled folder access
Windows 10 includes a facility to prevent malware, especially ransomware, encrypting files. It is called "Controlled Folder Access". When enabled it prevents software, apart from software you have marked as safe, making changes to files and folders on your PC. You can access the setting from Settings/Update & Security/Windows Security/Virus & Threat Detection/Ransomware Protection/Controlled Folder Access
Just FYI had the same issue with Backupper Pro 6.5 _and_ 7.1 Adding AOEMI to "whitelist" didn't help. Only complete disabling "Controlled Folders" in Ransomware Protection works. (Win 10 Pro 21H2, Build 19044.2251)
Fun fact: Activating "Controlled Folders" after successful mounting of an image would prevent AOEMI from detaching already mounted images. Detaching fails silently. No message to user, no log entries.
@VLight, Thanks for your feedback. We have submitted the problem to our dev team. "Detaching fails silently."----Did you mean that there is no "Detach" option? Generally, you can shut down the computer, and then reboot it, virtual partitions will be removed.
