AOMEI Backupper taking forever to start

My installation of AOMEI Backupper is taking at least 3-4 minutes to start after double clicking it's shortcut icon. I get the startup screen with "Loading, please wait..." And it sits there like that for a long time before it loads. Anyone have any ideas?

    Is there an external drive connected to your computer?

    No there isn't, but there is a game CD kept in the DVD/ROM player all the time. Could that be causing it?

    Thank you for your external drive suggestion. I took the CD out of the drive and restarted Backupper and problem gone.
