Can I make an image of an entire disk which has a AOMEI OneKey Recovery installation on it?

Hi,

I am going to install AOMEI OneKey Recovery on my Microsoft Surface Laptop. Is it possible then to make an image of the entire Surface SSD with AOMEI Backupper, including the OneKey-partition, so that I can use this Backupper image should my Surface completely break down or be stolen, etc, which means I have to transfer the whole installation to a new Surface?

  • Yes, you can.
  • OK, thanks! I thought that maybe AOMEI OneKey changed some settings in BIOS which will not be transferred should I buy a new laptop of exactly the same model with the same SSD size?
  • Well, actually there's a bug when making an image of the entire disk with AOMEI Backupper including the OneKey-partition, we haven't fixed it yet.
It is recommended to backup the disk with AOMEI Backupper, and then backup with OneKey Recovery after restoring to the new Surface.
