Clone fail4107 ...did that just format my pc?

Installed a SSD. Downloaded AOMEI to clone everything from my HHD to SSD. 63% in error code 4107 pops up & I see both HHD & SSD have 0GB of information on them. My pc can now only circle around the bios settings.

Hello Argh, thank you for this important question. I understand you were cloning from HDD to SSD. Can you confirm you were using Backupper product, not Partition Assistant?
    Backupper Manual, page 78,
"8.Information code 4107: Failed to complete the operation / element not found or the image file not found".

Please go to another working PC2, and create Partition Assistant USB utility, then boot PC1 with USB drive. Please reply with screenshot of your disk and partitions. Format USB as MBR before creating utility.
    1) Which motherboard mode Legacy-BIOS, UEFI-CSM, UEFI-nonCSM?
    2) What PC brand, year, model #, desktop or laptop?
    3) Which type of SSD? SSHD, SSD 2.5", SSD M.2 SATA, SSD M.2 NVMe, PCIe?
    4) Which hard drive partition table type MBR or GPT?
    5) What Aomei product tier Standard, Pro, Other? Version?
    6) What Windows version 10, 11, Home, Pro, Enterprise?
    7) Please upload the log file later when you can access it. C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI\AOMEI Backupper\<Version>\log\reg.log
    8) Please post a screenshot of your issue, and also of
    Cmd
    Diskpart
    list disk
    select disk #
    list partition
    list volume
    detail disk

Suite of tools that includes Backupper, Partition Assistant, Recuva, 7zip, OSF Mount, CPU-Z, Bootice, DiskMgmt.msc. Supports x64 portable apps. Some internal M.2 NVMe disks may not be detected. No additional drivers.

    Partition Assistant WinPE USB:
    https://www.diskpart.com/help/make-bootable-cd-wizard.html
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary.

    Backupper WinPE USB:
    https://www.ubackup.com/help/create-bootable-disk.html
Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary. Works on most monitors.

  • @ARGH Sorry about the inconvenience. You can try to create a bootable media on another working PC and then boot this PC into WinPE and then offer us some pictures of the disks layout under WinPE. (Click Clone-Disk Clone)
Please check how to create a bootable media here:

  • Thanks for the speedy support
This may take a few days due to me only being 45.3% nerd.
  • Yes I was using using Backupper product, not Partition Assistan

    1) Motherboard is ASUS Z97-AR . I believe it's UEFI-CSM I was using
    2) Advent phantom X4 Iv upgraded my PC over the years as needed (only the HHD is original now )
    3) Samsung 990   4.0 NVMe M.2    1TB
    4) GPT
    5) Standard 6.7.0
    6) Windows 10

    "BU Standard 6.7".
Please upgrade to BU 7.4 USB using another working PC.
UEFI-CSM must use MBR. UEFI-nonCSM, must use GPT. Windows 10 can use MBR or GPT. Windows 11 must use GPT.
    "Disk 0"
Is disk 0 in the photo your HDD mechanical source disk?
    "Unallocated"
Please use a partition recovery tool, such as Partition Assistant, Recuva, or Hirens to attempt partition recovery. If the data on the disk is somewhat expensive to replace, then before doing any recovery, please connect a 700GB empty external disk, then use BU or PA to clone disk, with Exact-Sector-By-Sector setting, then attempt recovery on the cloned disk, not the original. If the data on the disk is very expensive to replace, please take the disk to a data recovery specialist.
I have seen PA successfully recovered a deleted partition, with all data recovered quickly, it can work.
Please open a support ticket with Aomei today, thank you.

  • Please use BU USB utility to post screenshot of these informational commands.
    Cmd
    Diskpart
    list disk
    select disk #
    list partition
    list volume
    detail disk

  • Thanks for the time/advice but I tried, tried & tried. Nothing worked! Had to put windows on an external harddrive & reinstall (took a few attempts to make that work too) Now I am back to square 1. SSD not showing up & needing to clone my HHD onto my SSD. Thing is I am now scared to use Aomei again. It has been brutal trying to fix my pc & I lost everything on it ( that's fine...except I lost the original ticket to ride. That cannot be replaced  )
  • Please use Windows 11 USB utility to post screenshot of these informational commands.
    Cmd
    Diskpart
    list disk
    select disk #
    list partition
    list volume
    detail disk

  • Sorry about the inconvenience.
Could you please use the feature partition recovery in Partition Assistant to check if it is able to find lost partitions?
