Hard drive size problem

Hi All

I have a Seagate Barracuda 3Tb hard drive which I briefly used in a Seagate NAS. Subsequently it was removed from the NAS but would not be recognized on any computer using a caddy. Thats when I downloaded the AOMEI software and used the delete partition command which reduced my drive to 740Gb. I then tried the wipe drive command but still no luck.I have tried the restore partition command but that has not helped either. Can anyone advise me? Regards A

  • Ajondyh,

For drives larger than 2 GB, the partition table type must be set to GUID rather than MBR.  Be sure that you're using a GUID partition table type, or the system won't allow you to use the full drive size.

  • ajondyh,

It's better to analyze your problem if you can post us a screenshot of Windows Disk Management.
