Backuppper does not see external hard drives

I have just installed the latest free version of Backupper onto a Windows 8.1 system.  I want to clone my external 3TB Seagate drive to my external 3TB WD drive. When I run Backupper it does not see either external drive.  Doing a Reload has no effect.  Both drives are up and accessible to Windows.  Do you have any suggestion?

    what's the sector size of your external drive?

    Click "reload"

    I have done nothing to affect the sector size of either external drive.  They are at their defaults.  Other than that I do not know how to determine the sector size of a drive.  Tell me a command you wish me to execute.  As to clicking "reload", as I indicated that had no effect.

    the sector sthe sector size is established by the drive manufacturers. If it's 4096 bytes p per sector, then AOMEI Backupper can't recognize it.

    okay, fair enough. the sector size on the Seagate drive is 4096. The WD drive is currently unusable, but I would assume it is also 4096.
