Hello, I'm sorry to hear your merge did not work correcty.
We need more information from you, could you please reply with the answers to:
1) Which motherboard mode Legacy-BIOS, UEFI-CSM, UEFI-nonCSM?
2) What PC brand, year, model #, desktop or laptop?
3) HDD, SSD 2.5", SSD M.2 SATA, SSD M.2 NVMe?
4) Hard Drive partition table MBR or GPT?
5) Aomei product tier Standard, Pro, Other? Version?
6) Windows version 10, 11, Home, Pro, Enterprise?
7) Please post a screenshot of PA, and also Diskpart > lis dis > sel dis # > lis par > lis vol > det dis

Thank you, could you please tell us which partitions you want to merge? Are you trying to merge C and D?
When you tried to merge, did it ask you to reboot, and which reboot mode did you use? Aomei support recommends using WinPE, not PreOS mode. Please do not use PreOS mode.
Please try the operation again, using WinPE USB mode.

Add custom drivers, such as NVMe, if necessary.

Yeah, I was trying to merge C and D into C and it asked me to reboot so I selected WinPE.

As you saw, the app can reboot and launch a WinPE mode using the hard drive. Since that didn't work, please try using the USB WinPE instead.

@Szczebel, Maybe you can try to copy data of D drive to C drive, then delete D drive, and perform the delete operatin. After that, you can resize C drive to add the unallocated space.
